Someone in the group chat is certain Alex will arrive first. Someone else is just as sure it will be Sam. By the time everyone meets up, nobody remembers exactly what was said. The prediction was fun; digging through messages to prove it is less fun.
Called It gives that moment a place to live. It is RuneDance’s second software product, alongside InvestSheet: a simple way for adult friends to create a prediction, agree on the details and remember who called it. No public popularity contest. No complicated odds. Just a question worth sending to a friend.
A question, a link, one acceptance
Start with something from everyday life. Will it rain before the weekend meetup? Can you finish the puzzle before your friend? Will you reach level 50 in your game within an hour? Write the question in your own words, choose a friend or create an invitation, and make any timing rules clear.
Add “Bragging rights” or a playful promise, such as letting the winner pick a movie you already have access to. The text is editable rather than a reward catalog. Keep it nonmonetary: money, valuable items and service wagers are not allowed. A promise is a voluntary part of the experience, never an obligation the platform enforces.
Share the invitation URL in whatever chat you already use. Your friend can preview the challenge before signing in with Google. After completing the adult and terms confirmations, they return to the invitation and accept once to start the attached one-on-one challenge. You do not need to move your conversations into another social network.
Keep the rules clear and the promises optional
A good challenge answers the small questions before they become an argument. Which game? What is the starting level? When does the hour begin? How will you both confirm the result? Called It helps keep those details with the question, instead of scattering them across a conversation.
When the outcome is known, one participant proposes the result and the other confirms or disputes it. Confirmed results update your history and win/loss record. A friendly promise can be marked completed or skipped. Either choice leaves the result intact. There are no payment reminders, debt collections or automatic referees.
Free for everyday challenges
One-on-one predictions are unlimited and free. You can create, invite, accept, confirm results and look back at your history without a subscription. Joining someone else’s group challenge is free, too. The product is intended for adults 18 and older, with Google sign-in and an age declaration before using its challenge features.
Pro is for bringing the group together. Approved Pro users can host group predictions with independent picks and a results leaderboard. Participants do not need Pro. For now, Pro access is complimentary and granted through an approved email allowlist; other users can join the waiting list to request it. Approval is manual, and a request does not automatically unlock hosting. There is no paid checkout today.
AI helps with the blank page, not the verdict
If you have an idea but cannot find the wording, AI can turn it into an editable draft or suggest a themed question. Free accounts get three generations per UTC calendar month; Pro accounts get fifty. Review the question, options and rules before publishing. Missing details should be confirmed, and generated text can still be wrong.
AI never determines a winner. Called It records participant-reported outcomes rather than claiming to independently verify them. Challenges are shown to the relevant participants, and you choose whether to share an invitation or an exported card. The point is to make a small shared moment easier to remember, while leaving the friendship in your hands.
A different kind of RuneDance product
InvestSheet makes portfolio tracking easier inside a spreadsheet. Called It takes the same preference for simple tools into a more playful corner of life: the predictions friends already make. You do not need a season, a wallet or a new group chat to try it. Pick one clear question and send it to someone who thinks they know the answer.
